DEMONOLOGY AND THEOLOGY

As the name indicates, demonology is the science or doctrine concerning demons. Both, both in their form and their meaning, have an obvious analogy with theology, which is the science or doctrine about God. And as far as the many falsehoods and other dangerous forms of this demonic science are concerned, we can say that it adapts with certainty the well-known words of Albertus Magnus on the subject of theology that he says of demonology: A daemonibus doce, daemonibus doce, et ad daemonies ducit(“Teachers are demons, teach about demons and lead demons”). Much of the literature that comes under the title of demonology is corrupted with errors that have a lot to do with and owe their origin to the father of falsehoods, especially those parts that have a practical purpose (those that could be called ascetic and mystical demonology). and that they are designed to lead men to offer themselves to serve Satan.
